About the Role

My customer is looking for a motivated D365 Functional Consultant to join their growing Microsoft practice in Birmingham. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (D365 CE) solutions across a variety of industries and project environments.

Working closely with customers, consultants, developers, and stakeholders, you will support the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering and solution design through to deployment, training, and support handover.

This role is ideal for someone who can work independently or as part of a wider delivery team while supporting junior colleagues and promoting best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver D365 CE solutions across all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Run workshops, gather requirements, and analyse business processes.
• Configure and support Dynamics 365 CE solutions aligned to customer needs.
• Produce functional documentation and solution designs.
• Support testing, user training, and customer adoption activities.
• Assist with pre-sales activities including demos and estimations.
• Manage smaller implementation projects, including stakeholder communication and milestone tracking.
• Work collaboratively with functional, technical, and PMO teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Mentor and support junior consultants and apprentices.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

• Experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / CRM solutions.
• Strong understanding of D365 CE functionality and implementation methodologies.
• Experience gathering requirements and facilitating workshops.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to produce clear functional documentation.
• Experience supporting testing, training, and user adoption.
• Ability to work independently and within project teams.

Desirable

• Experience working within a Microsoft Partner environment.
• Experience managing smaller projects or workstreams.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform certifications.
