Contract: 4 months (with potential extension)

Hours: Part-time

Role Overview:

A local authority is seeking a passionate and engaging Digital Skills Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching to adult learners as part of their Employment, Skills and Enterprise programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, teach, assess and evaluate digital skills courses for adult learners.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that meet individual learner needs, abilities and backgrounds.
  • Use varied teaching methods and digital resources to support learner progress and confidence.
  • Provide constructive feedback and track student attendance, progress and achievement.
  • Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work and maintain accurate learner records.
  • Support learners towards achieving qualifications and personal learning goals.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through course evaluation and resource development.
  • Keep up to date with current teaching practices and digital skills developments.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in line with safeguarding, equality and health and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Teaching experience with adult learners (essential).
  • Strong digital skills and confidence using a range of IT tools and applications.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to equality, inclusion and continuous professional development.
