Role Overview:
A local authority is seeking a passionate and engaging Digital Skills Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching to adult learners as part of their Employment, Skills and Enterprise programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, teach, assess and evaluate digital skills courses for adult learners.
- Deliver engaging lessons that meet individual learner needs, abilities and backgrounds.
- Use varied teaching methods and digital resources to support learner progress and confidence.
- Provide constructive feedback and track student attendance, progress and achievement.
- Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work and maintain accurate learner records.
- Support learners towards achieving qualifications and personal learning goals.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through course evaluation and resource development.
- Keep up to date with current teaching practices and digital skills developments.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and volunteers.
- Ensure all duties are carried out in line with safeguarding, equality and health and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Teaching experience with adult learners (essential).
- Strong digital skills and confidence using a range of IT tools and applications.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to equality, inclusion and continuous professional development.
