BASE24-eps Architect - 12-month Contract - Hybrid (London OR Swindon)

Hawksworth are recruiting now for a BASE24-eps Architect for an initial 12-month inside IR35 Contract (Payment through an Umbrella company).

Location: Swindon OR London

Working: Hybrid: 3 days in the office 2 days remote.

Rate: To be discussed , but good market rates

The role:

This is a senior and experienced BASE24-eps architect role to provide technical leadership across payment system with a focus on modernizing and evolving BASE24 classic platform.

In this role, you will act as subject matter expert (SME), driving architectural decision, shaping solution design, and leading strategies for platform transformation, including the migration of from BASE24 classic to BASE24-eps.

Duties:

• Define and own end-to-end architecture for BASE24 system.
• Lead the architecture and strategy for platform modernization including transition from BASE24 Classic to BASE24-eps
• Design migration and coexistence architectures, ensuring minimal disruption to live payment processing.
• Act as SME for BASE24, providing guidance across design development and implementation
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to shape technical decisions
• Design and document transaction flows across ATM, POS and switching system.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. IS08593, PSD2 etc.)

Required skills:

• Strong experience and solid understanding of BASE24 architecture and transaction processing flows
• Proven ability to define architecture for platform upgrades and migrations
• Experience working on large-scale payment switch system (ATM, POS, switching)
• Deep Knowledge of :
• IS08583 messaging (VISA/LINK) ,STM , PSTM.
• BASE24 system configuration and control
• HP nonstop tandem architecture
• PATHWAY, Enscribe, TAL/TACL, COBOL,C++, XPNET
• Experience in:
• System Design and solution architecture
• Transaction monitoring, debugging and performance tuning
• Strong understanding of :
• BASE24 instituteconfiguration (CPF,IDF,PBF etc.)
• Web Services configuration and controls
• TSS , ACI desktop
• Solid understanding of HSM integration ,key management, PIN block formats and cryptography in a payment context.
• Hands on experience with payment security standards: PCI DSS,3-D Secure, tokenization and EMV.
