Your new role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Engineer to join an established technology and engineering business producing complex electronic products for customers worldwide.This position would suit someone with a strong background in electronics manufacturing, production engineering and New Product Introduction (NPI) who enjoys working closely with both Engineering and Production teams.

As Production Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring products can be manufactured and tested effectively, while supporting the introduction of new products and improving existing manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Leading the introduction of new products into production, working closely with Product Engineering, Production and Supply Chain.
• Supporting product development to ensure manufacturability and testability.
• Contributing to the design and development of production test systems.
• Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, efficiencies and product quality.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives within production.
• Supporting and maintaining existing manufacturing processes and production test equipment.
• Working with manufacturing subcontractors to ensure their production and testing processes align with internal requirements.
• Providing technical support across Engineering and Production.

Skills & Experience required:

• Previous experience in Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong experience manufacturing and testing complex electronic products.
• Knowledge of PCB/PCBA manufacturing and Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
• Understanding of electronic product design and testing.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Ability to identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes.
