Senior Sourcing Manager | Hatfield | Hybrid

A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy are seeking an experienced Senior Sourcing Manager to take on a strategic role within the supply chain and procurement process.

Working closely with the CTO to review the pipeline and prioritise activity across the sourcing team, the Senior Sourcing Manager will lead the end-to-end procurement process, securing high-quality goods and services at competitive commercial terms.

The role will oversee strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, market analysis and risk management, with a key focus on delivering an efficient and robust RFx process and ensuring the fair and ethical selection and onboarding of partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead strategic RFx processes from initial requirement through sourcing, negotiation, partner onboarding and handover into BAU.
• Act as the Sourcing SME, driving procurement best practice, governance, compliance and consistent RFx processes across the business.
• Lead complex commercial and contract negotiations, securing strong commercial outcomes while managing supply-chain risk.
• Build strong relationships across CTO, Legal, Cyber, Risk, Partner Management and wider business stakeholders to prioritise sourcing activity and ensure effective partner onboarding.
• Lead, coach and mentor the sourcing team, developing capability and acting as an escalation point for complex sourcing, supplier and stakeholder issues.
• Drive continuous improvement across sourcing and procurement, improving RFx timescales, controls, reporting, audit readiness and stakeholder adoption.

Essential

• Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Strong communication and relationship-building skills across suppliers, senior management, IT teams, CTO and partners.
• Commercial & Negotiation Skills: Strong financial acumen with the ability to negotiate competitive commercial terms and achieve value during supplier onboarding.
• Risk, Compliance & Governance: Ability to identify and mitigate supply-chain risks while ensuring sourcing activities are fair, ethical and compliant.
• Sourcing & Continuous Improvement: Experience improving RFx, supplier onboarding and sourcing processes, with the adaptability to manage changing requirements.
• Organisation & Collaboration: Strong time management, conflict resolution and teamwork skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio and SharePoint.

Desirable

Leadership & Strategic Thinking: Experience leading and mentoring sourcing teams, with the ability to align sourcing and stakeholder activity to wider organisational objectives.

Stakeholder Influence: Strong cultural awareness, empathy and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse and global stakeholder groups.

Global Sourcing: Understanding of international markets and experience sourcing products and materials globally, either directly or through distributors.
