SC Cleared Business Analyst

I'm looking for an experienced Business Analyst who has an active SC Clearance held with the Home Office. The duration of this role is between 3-6 months and it's working remotely. Anyone without the SC Clearance will unfortunately not be considered.

Role SummaryThe Senior Business Analyst is responsible for identifying business needs, analysing and documenting requirements, and supporting the delivery of business and technology solutions. Acting as a key interface between business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, and delivery teams, the Senior Business Analyst ensures that business objectives are translated into well-defined requirements and implemented through effective solution design and delivery.
The role operates within complex programmes and projects, supports Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, and contributes to business transformation initiatives across government and public sector environments.________________________________________Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements Management*Elicit, analyse, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
Produce Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), User Stories, Use Cases, Process Models, and Functional Specifications.*Ensure traceability between business requirements, solution design, testing, and implementation activities.*Support backlog management and prioritisation activities.Stakeholder Management*Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings.*Build effective relationships with business users, technical teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders.*Act as the liaison between business and technical teams throughout the project life cycle.*Manage conflicting priorities and support consensus building.Process Analysis & Improvement*Analyse current ("As-Is") business processes and define future ("To-Be") operating models.*Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and service improvement.*Support business transformation and organisational change initiatives.Solution Design Support*Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, and product owners to define solution requirements.*Support functional design activities and ensure solutions meet business objectives.*Review proposed solutions for feasibility, business fit, and compliance with organisational standards.Delivery & Testing SupportSupport Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.*Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and defect management.*Ensure delivered solutions satisfy agreed business requirements.*Support implementation, deployment, and post-implementation reviews.Governance & Documentation*Maintain project documentation, requirements repositories, and decision logs.*Ensure compliance with organisational governance, security, and quality standards.*Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement activities.________________________________________Required Skills & ExperienceEssential*Significant experience as a Business Analyst within complex IT and business change programmes.*Strong requirements elicitation and analysis skills.*Experience producing high-quality business and functional documentation.*Proven stakeholder management and facilitation skills.*Experience working within Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments.*Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.*Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent.
Desirable*Government or public sector experience.*Knowledge of service design and user-centred design principles.*BABOK, BCS Business Analysis, Agile Business Analyst, or equivalent certification. Experience supporting digital transformation programmes.*Experience within secure or regulated environments.

You will need to hold an active SC Clearance, which is held by the Home Office to qualify for the role.
