Senior Applications Engineer

Your new role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Applications Engineer to join an established technology and engineering business producing complex electronic products for customers worldwide.This is an excellent opportunity for someone from an electronics, systems, RF, telecommunications or communications engineering background who wants to develop their technical knowledge while gaining greater responsibility for the design and delivery of engineering projects.You'll work across the full life cycle of projects, helping translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.

As your experience develops, you'll also have the opportunity to take technical ownership of smaller projects as a Project Engineer.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Supporting the design and development of electronic communication systems.
• Understanding customer and contractual technical requirements
• Producing technical specifications and system documentation
• Reviewing engineering drawings, diagrams and system designs
• Defining equipment specifications and configurations
• Selecting and specifying third-party equipment

This is just a summed-up list, and other duties will be required.

Skills & Experience required:

• HNC/HND, degree or similar qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, Physics or another relevant technical discipline
• Alternatively, strong Maths and Science A-levels alongside relevant technical experience
• An interest in or understanding of RF, radio or communications technology
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• A logical approach to technical problem-solving.
