Loan Servicing Platform Developer
Company Description
Heirloom Fair Legal is a leading provider of finance to regulated service providers in the UK, primarily the legal and insolvency ecosystems.
We focus on service providers to consumers and small-businesses, which means that the collateral base against which we lend is comprised of thousands of underlying revenue streams.
By adopting technology and efficient business practices, we are able to provide financings, or lend against collateral, that would be too small for other specialty private credit firms to consider.
This “bottom of the pyramid” strategy enables us to do well ( e profitable) while doing good (delivering positive social impact).
Our culture is very entrepreneurial. We work as a team, but each teammember is expected to take ownership of their area of responsibility and deliver innovative solutions. This provides substantial opportunity to deliver meaningful impact and to advance very quickly, all in a supportive environment.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in our central London office. This person will lead the development and build of our loan servicing platform, which evaluates and approves loan drawdowns based on pre-defined criteria, ingests regular reporting from borrowers, tracks loan compliance with covenants, manages inbound and outbound payments and delivers monthly valuations and reporting to the investment committee.
Our current system is built on a Supabase database with python overlaid. This is only partially built out and so can either be expanded into a complete product, or we can switch to a different tech stack for our next iteration.
Key will be a heavy degree of automated processing of semi-structured data, flexibility to deal with different loan types and underlying collateral, and a usable interface to enable humans to deal with exceptions and key items flagged by the system.
