General Practice Assistant/Operations Support
Job summary
Are you organised, proactive, and enthusiastic about supporting a busy GP practice? Lambeth Walk Group Practice is seeking a highly motivated General Practice Assistant (GPA) / Operations Support to join our team. This non-clinical ARRS-funded role is key to ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our practice, supporting clinicians and admin teams alike.
Youll coordinate rotas, manage digital systems, assist with patient communication, and provide essential operational support. If you have strong IT skills, a can-do attitude, and a keen interest in healthcare operations, wed love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
Service Delivery: Coordinate clinician rotas, locum bookings, and operational rotas; support contract targets including QOF, LES, and IIF.
Digital & IT: First-line support for EMIS, Docman, Accurx, Smartcards; oversee system access and troubleshoot issues.
Website & Inboxes: Manage website content and triage practice inboxes.
Meetings & Admin: Coordinate and minute internal meetings; ensure timely circulation and follow-up.
Patient Support: Assist with recalls, digital campaigns, non-clinical queries, and NHS App promotion.
Docman & Records: Handle clinical post, non-clinical forms, and maintain high-quality records.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as key contact for Churchill and St Peters facilities.
Quality & Audits: Support data quality checks, audits, and governance.

Person Specification
Experience
- Strong IT skills (e.g., EMIS, Docman, MS Office)
- Excellent communication and multitasking ability
- High standard of confidentiality and teamwork
- Organised and detail-oriented
- Previous admin/reception experience in healthcare
- Familiarity with NHS systems like Accurx, Ardens Manager
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and website editing
