Role Overview
As part of the Digital & E-commerce team you will support the growing success of our Global websites and Portals, as Product Owner for our PIM (Product Information Management) solution, InRiver and our Online Search solution with an overarching responsibility for the quality and integrity of our customer-facing product data.
Key Responsibilities
Key objectives of the role are to manage internal and external stakeholders and to drive improvements in the data quality and integrity as we continue to build our database through the addition of products and the enrichment of existing products.
- Manage the product data model in PIM, adapting and improving as the product family grows and diversifies.
- Manage new product introductions to the PIM and liaise with stakeholders to ensure a complete and accurate coverage of data for all additions.
- Ongoing maintenance of product data to ensure any existing products are conforming to the product data standards.
- Ensure a consistency of data quality across all regions and languages.
- Manage the transfer of product data extracts to internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are fulfilled and the process works as securely and efficiently as possible.
- Lead the continuous improvement of the platform to identify and resolve efficiency improvements, be that through identifying process adjustments or areas for development work.
- Have a comprehension of the dependant systems in the wider ecommerce platform and how changes within PIM can affect them, with an eye on the customers’ online experience.
- Ensure the visibility and appropriate management of digital assets in the PIM and other related systems.
- Ability to leverage the importance of the PIM to stakeholders and champion its capabilities through the business.
- Understand the interplay between the PIM and our digital platforms through our Online Search Solution.
Critical Competencies for Success
- Previous experience working with data at scale, either in a PIM system or general experience working with databases.
- An ability to define actionable data quality measures for product data and to implement improvement strategies.
- Ongoing maintenance of product data to ensure any existing products are conforming to the product data standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into actionable tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Passion for technology and a strong desire to learn and grow in the product management field.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A high level of IT literacy.
