Software Developer Apprenticeship

MC Apprenticeships & Training are recruiting on behalf of In Studio for a Software Developer Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking, motivated team player to join a busy team, taking part in code reviews, developing software solutions, and communicating with colleagues, project managers, and stakeholders.

Role

  • Learn and apply an industry standard programming language for application development
  • Collaborate with experienced developers to understand project requirements, design, and
    implementation
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback
  • Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and maintaining existing applications
  • Use version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborate on code repositories
  • Understand and implement testing methodologies (e.g., unit testing, integration testing)
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of software development technologies, frameworks, and industry trends
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and task management
  • Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and stakeholders
  • Develop an understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
  • Learn and apply principles of object-oriented programming (OOP) and Model-View-Controller

Training

  • Level 4 Software Developer
  • Day release one day per week

Depending on the circumstances of the business upon completion of the apprenticeship programme there could be a potential position of employment available.
