IT Support Engineer, London
We are a specialist Managed Service Provider dedicated to the education sector, delivering reliable IT support and technology solutions to schools and colleges. As our client base continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer who understands the unique challenges and demands of educational environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has previously provided IT support within schools, colleges, academies, or education-focused MSPs and wants to join a team that genuinely understands the sector.
The Role
You will provide 1st, 2nd support across a portfolio of schools and colleges, ensuring staff and students have access to secure, reliable technology that supports teaching and learning.
Working closely with school leadership teams, teaching staff and internal IT teams, you will troubleshoot issues, deliver infrastructure improvements and support a broad range of Microsoft technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing onsite and remote IT support to schools and colleges
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows environments
- Managing and troubleshooting Active Directory, Entra ID and Group Policy
- Supporting Windows 10/11 devices, laptops, desktops and mobile technologies
- Administering Microsoft Intune and endpoint management solutions
- Maintaining server, network and wireless infrastructure
- Supporting safeguarding, security and compliance requirements within educational environments
- Delivering IT projects including migrations, upgrades and technology rollouts
- Building strong relationships with school staff and stakeholders
- Documenting technical issues and resolutions effectively
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience supporting schools, colleges, academies or education-focused organisations
- Strong Microsoft technology experience including:
- Microsoft 365
- Azure / Entra ID
- Active Directory
- Windows Server
- Windows
Desirable:
- Experience working for an MSP supporting education clients
- Microsoft certifications
- Experience with safeguarding and cyber security best practices within education
