IT Apprenticeship

Are you passionate about technology and ready to take the first step into a rewarding IT career? Ivy Learning Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join the team at Enfield County School as a Level 3 IT Apprentice.

Role

  • Maintain and update a comprehensive database of all IT support and fault requests, ensuring accurate records and, with guidance, prioritising tasks based on urgency and impact.
  • Respond promptly to faults and issues raised through the IT helpdesk system, providing first-line support.
  • Assist staff and pupils with technical issues related to IT hardware, software, and cloud-based applications, delivering clear and effective support.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, service providers, or technical support teams as needed to resolve complex IT issues.
  • Support and maintain a variety of hardware including PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, copiers, interactive whiteboards/panels, and sound systems.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT equipment and software to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Follow IT policies and procedures to maintain security, confidentiality, and best practice in all support activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of IT support services by reporting recurring issues and suggesting potential solutions.

Training

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists. 

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
