VMware Consultant - £80,000 - £90,000 + 13% Bonus - London (Hybrid) - Consultancy

Overview:
We are currently searching for a VMware Consultant to join a leading technology consultancy and professional services organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced VMware specialist looking to step into a senior, client-facing role with significant technical ownership and leadership responsibility.

You will design and deliver VMware Cloud Foundation solutions across a wide range of clients, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert. The role combines hands-on architecture and implementation with workshop facilitation, technical documentation, commercial scoping and mentoring of colleagues.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver implementation services across a wide range of clients and technologies.
• Act as a mentor and technical escalation point, providing expert-level guidance on issue resolution, standards, design, best practice and reference target architectures.
• Plan and run project design workshops with customers, presenting technical documentation back to stakeholders.
• Produce Low Level Designs, Statements of Work and other technical documentation as required.
• Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, Project Practice and customers to shape and support solutions.
• Assist in the design of Proof of Concepts and create test documentation and test scenarios.
• Take responsibility for ensuring assigned projects are completed within agreed time, quality, scope and cost parameters.
• Support and review professional services costing sheets, validating estimates and managing delivery risks.
• Evaluate existing systems, standards and procedures, making recommendations for improvement while maintaining relevant certifications.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a consultancy environment, leading workshops, shaping solutions, owning architecture and advising customers.
• Deep Broadcom VMware expertise, including hands-on enterprise VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9.1) design and delivery.
• Professional certifications such as VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP VCF Architect).
• Commercial awareness, including scoping engagements, validating estimates and managing delivery risks.
• Clear communication, confident presentation skills and the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
• Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance.
• Domain-based VCAP certifications, in particular NSX design and deploy, and VCF automation skills would be advantageous.
