Head of Change

We’re working with a leading, fast-growing specialist insurance business seeking an accomplished Head of Business & IT Change to drive strategic transformation across their broking operations.

This is a key leadership role, overseeing a diverse portfolio of business and technology change — from platform migrations and process optimisation to the integration of acquired firms. You’ll shape and deliver the group-wide change agenda, ensuring technology, people, and process all move forward in sync to support ambitious growth plans.

The Opportunity

As Head of Change , you’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of complex transformation initiatives, ensuring projects align with business objectives and add measurable value. Working closely with senior leaders across broking, operations, and technology, you’ll establish best-in-class change governance, build high-performing teams, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

You’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of how the business operates — from optimising core systems such as Acturis and Salesforce to improving data, digital, and operational capabilities that enhance client service and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a business and IT change strategy aligned with organisational goals.
  • Oversee large-scale transformation programmes covering M&A integration, target operating model design, and enterprise system implementation .
  • Build and manage a robust change portfolio across business, operations, and technology functions.
  • Develop a structured governance framework with clear reporting, KPIs, and risk management.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of project managers, business analysts, and change specialists.
  • Partner with broking and operational leaders to identify improvement opportunities and deliver tangible business outcomes.
  • Foster collaboration and innovation across the change function, promoting Agile and continuous improvement practices.

About You

  • Proven experience leading business and technology change within an insurance brokerage or financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of broking operations, systems, and processes (Acturis experience highly desirable).
  • Track record of delivering complex transformation programmes in acquisitive organisations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Practical experience of Agile, PRINCE2, or PROSCI methodologies.
  • Commercially astute with strong financial management and delivery focus.
