2nd Line Desktop Engineer

Rate:£140 outside IR35

Khuda Technology is seeking a skilled 2nd Line Desktop Engineer to join our clients team on a 3-month contract based onsite in Carlisle. The role involves providing hands-on technical support, with a strong focus on rebuilding and configuring laptops, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and supporting general desktop management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 2nd line technical support for end users, resolving escalated incidents and service requests.

• Rebuild, configure, and deploy laptops and desktops to company standards.

• Perform hardware diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades as required.

• Assist with software installations, updates, and general device management.

• Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including asset tracking and documentation.

• Collaborate closely with the wider IT team to ensure efficient issue resolution and service delivery.

Skills:

• Proven experience in a 2nd Line Desktop Support or similar IT support role.

• Strong hands-on experience rebuilding and configuring laptops/desktops.

• Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 environments.

• Familiarity with general desktop management and basic software deployment tools.

• Exposure to SCCM is a plus but not essential.

• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in an onsite, fast-paced environment.
