This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in software testing and quality assurance. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with experienced testers and developers, learning how to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and execution of test plans and test cases.
- Perform manual testing of web applications.
- Document and report bugs and issues clearly and accurately.
- Work closely with developers to understand features and resolve issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Learn how to use testing tools and methodologies.
- Support the QA team in regression, integration, and system testing.
- Maintain test documentation and contribute to continuous improvement.
- A passion for technology and software development.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with any programming language (Ideally C#).
- Exposure to testing tools or platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps, Playwright, Swagger, Postman, MS SQL Server).
- Completed or enrolled in a relevant apprenticeship or training program.
- On-the-job training with experienced QA professionals.
