The Role

As an IT Field Engineer, you will split your time between our City of London office and client sites, with around 50% of your time based at a key client in Chiswick. You’ll provide on-site and remote support, working across a wide range of technologies while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out scheduled and reactive support visits for clients, providing desktop-level support
  • Manage helpdesk calls, deliver remote support, and update service tickets
  • Perform routine maintenance on client systems
  • Set up new users and computers for client organisations
  • Assist with IT projects and deployments
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, providing updates and maintaining high service standards
  • Ensure ticket SLAs are met and documentation is updated
  • Support installation of data cables, access points, and network devices (desirable but not essential)

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a motivated self-starter with strong communication and organisational skills. The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 1 year of IT support experience at 2nd Line/Desktop level
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Admin Tenant)
  • Proficiency in Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with IT hardware and tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English (essential)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Network+, Microsoft) – advantageous but not required
