UX/UI Designer
Contract UI/UX Designer - Energy Trading Platforms - 6 months - Inside IR35 - Glasgow office Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills. Lorien is looking for a UI/UX Specialist to design and prototype new screens for its trading function.
You'll work directly with traders, using Figma and an early-stage design library to streamline screen layout and improve usability, giving traders the right information at the right time to support their decisions. The initial brief is a prototype, with the aim of moving into development once the concept is proven.
You'll also help consolidate three product front ends as part of the re-engineering of a Battery Trading and Despatch platform, working with stakeholders to deliver commercial, operational and trading screens built around trading separation controls.
What we're looking for
Proven UI/UX design experience, with strong Figma skills
Experience prototyping and working closely with end users
Experience building on or developing design systems and libraries
Comfortable engaging stakeholders across commercial, operational and technical teams
Background in trading, financial services or energy is desirable
