Agile Coach - Contract Opportunity

Rate: £550 per day? Length: 5 Months? Location: London (Hybrid - 2/3 days per week)? IR35 Status: Outside

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Agile Coach/Scrum Master to join our Customer Technology function, embedded within the Event Apps Scrum Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and a soon-to-be-appointed Product Owner, driving continuous improvement and delivering exceptional digital experiences for our customers.

You'll collaborate closely with engineering teams, product owners, and internal stakeholders across marketing, sales, product, and data analytics to evolve and maintain products built on LAMP technologies (including WordPress and Drupal).

What You'll Do
  • Facilitate key Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, Daily Stand-Ups, and Backlog Refinement.
  • Remove impediments and foster collaboration across teams and products.
  • Build a positive, high-performing team culture focused on learning and adaptability.
  • Partner with the Product Owner to ensure backlog visibility, prioritization, and clarity.
  • Champion Scrum principles and coach teams and stakeholders on Agile best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in processes and delivery.

  • Scrum events are productive, timeboxed, and value-driven.
  • The team consistently delivers high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done.
  • Impediments are swiftly removed, enabling smooth progress.
  • Stakeholder collaboration is seamless and transparent.
What We're Looking For
  • Certifications: Recognized Scrum certification (Scrum.org preferred). Advanced certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years as a Scrum Master or similar Agile role, with proven success implementing Scrum.
  • Technical Understanding: Familiarity with software development processes and ITIL.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Agile Expertise: Deep knowledge of Scrum Guide, Agile frameworks, and scaled Agile practices.
  • Coaching Ability: Skilled in mentoring teams and stakeholders in Scrum values and practices.
  • Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Passion for improving customer experience and team performance.
