Web Front End Developer

We are seeking a Web / Front-End Developer to create the interfaces customers and users interact with when accessing our services. You will turn business requirements and user journeys into clear, responsive web experiences. Working with backend developers and AI specialists, you will make complex capabilities straightforward to use, from submitting information and managing workflows to reviewing AI-generated results.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer portals, dashboards and other web interfaces used to access our services.
• Translate requirements, wireframes and designs into polished, usable frontend features.
• Build reusable components and consistent interface patterns.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and display structured JSON data clearly.
• Create intuitive forms, navigation, search, filtering and workflow interactions.
• Design clear loading, empty, error, success and permission states.
• Present AI outputs with appropriate context, source information and review controls where available or required.
• Implement responsive layouts, keyboard navigation and accessible interaction patterns.
• Manage application state, validation and session behaviour in collaboration with backend developers.
• Optimise performance and compatibility across supported browsers and devices.
• Test important user journeys, resolve defects and maintain technical documentation.
• Gather feedback and use it to improve usability and adoption.

Essential experience and skills

• Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
• Practical experience with a modern frontend framework, such as React, Vue or Angular.
• A portfolio or examples demonstrating effective, usable web interfaces.
• Experience integrating APIs and handling asynchronous data and JSON responses.
• Understanding of responsive design, semantic HTML and web accessibility.
• Experience with component-based development, frontend testing and version control.
• Understanding of browser security and safe handling of user-supplied and AI-generated content.
• Ability to communicate design and implementation choices to technical and non-technical colleagues.

Desirable experience

• Customer portals, business applications, dashboards or subscription software.
• AI interfaces, conversational experiences or streaming responses.
• Design systems, prototyping tools and collaboration with UX/UI designers.
• Usability testing and product analytics.
