- Architect, test, and transition new services into production, including developing business processes, training resources, and support documentation.
- Conduct evaluation and integration of centrally approved technology platforms and configurations.
- Oversee service management, performance monitoring, OS/software deployment design, and end-user security strategies (e.g. antivirus, malware protection).
- Manage endpoint platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure, application packaging, patching, and overall lifecycle management.
- Automate processes (e.g. application deployment, patching) using PowerShell and other scripting languages.
- Provide expert technical guidance to ICT support teams, faculty users, and project staff.
- Manage secure endpoint configurations and deployment of protection policies.
- Act as technical liaison with maintenance and external service providers to resolve issues and drive improvements.
- Serve as a trusted resource for stakeholders during hardware procurements, compliance assessments, and configuration lifecycle planning.
- Develop and deliver training sessions, technical guides, and knowledge-sharing materials to end users and support staff.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
Candidates must demonstrate experience in:
- A computer science or IT-related degree (or equivalent professional experience).
- Automated processes for OS deployment, patching, software distribution, and device policy configuration in networked desktop or mobile environments.
- At least three of the following technical domains:
- Cloud-based MDM/MAM tools (e.g. Endpoint Manager, Jamf Pro).
- MECM Configuration: Image deployment, application packaging, patch management.
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure or Desktop-as-a-Service using modern cloud tools.
- Endpoint protection platforms: antivirus, anti-malware, next-gen detection.
- Scripting experience, preferably PowerShell.
- Supporting and developing desktop and mobile technology application profiles.
Professional Attributes
- Proven experience in centralised service environments, able to work collaboratively across complex, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrable success in designing, testing, and delivering end-user compute services with operational monitoring.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities in compute service contexts.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and presentation skills, with an ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative and diplomatic; able to engage users and stakeholders effectively.
- Strong organisational skills to manage workloads and meet deadlines under constraints.
Desirable (But Not Required)
- Experience managing delivery teams, scoping requirements, negotiation, risk and commercial aspects.
- Proven success working with external vendors and leveraging supplier relationships to gain value.
If you're excited to innovate and drive end-user compute services from design through to delivery, we’d love to hear from you.
