Telecom Electrician (Outside IR35)

£300-£380 per day | Outside IR35 | Multiple UK Locations

We're recruiting multiple Telecom Electricians for long-term contract opportunities across the UK, supporting work within data centres and BT exchange environments.

Locations

• Bristol - covering the South West and M4 Corridor

• Newcastle - covering Scotland through to Manchester

• North London - covering North London through to the Midlands

• Additional travel across East Anglia and the South Coast depending on project requirements.

Rates:

• £250 - £400 per day DOE and flexibility to travel

Please note that work is site-dependent, so availability may vary depending on your location.

The Role

You'll be responsible for delivering electrical and telecom infrastructure installations within live telecom environments, including:

• Rack installation

• Cable tray, conduit and infrastructure installation

• DC power installation up to 95mm2 cable

• Minor AC installations including Commando sockets

• Router and server installation

• Cat6 installation

• Fibre installation using pre-made patch leads

• Basic Router and switch commissioning

• Power surveys to assess load and capacity

Experience with transmission testing (BERT, RFC and Y.1564) and previous work within VMO2 data centres or BT exchanges would be advantageous.

Essential Requirements

• ECS Gold Card

• 18th Edition

• City & Guilds 5357-03 (or equivalent)

• AM2

• TEL001 DC Electrical Safety

• Level 3 Test & Inspect

• EFAW (Emergency First Aid at Work)

• Manual Handling

• Ladder Safety

• Asbestos Awareness

Candidates must be willing to undergo BPSS clearance upon offer.
