We are currently seeking a skilled and proactiveCNC Programmer / Setter / Operatorto join a busy precision engineering team based in Hayes, West London.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience withCNCmilling, specifically on Hurco 3-axis machines, and occasionally using 4th-axis rotary tables. This is a permanent role offering the opportunity to work on high-quality, tight-tolerance components for various subcontract engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities ofCNC Programmer / Setter / Operator

• ProgramCNCmilling machines using Hurco WinMax controls directly at the machine or via CAM software.
• Set and operate 3-axisCNCmills, including the use of 4th-axis rotary tables when required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for efficientCNCmachining.
• Inspect components using measuring tools such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company standards.
• Collaborate with other departments and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements of aCNC Programmer / Setter / Operator:

• Proven experience inCNCprogramming, setting, and operating Hurco milling machines.
• Familiarity with 4th-axis (rotary table) operations is beneficial.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances (typically 0.01mm) from complex engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and work holding methods.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexibility to meet production demands and deadlines.
