Mergers and Acquisitions Director

Our client is an ambitious, AI-native technology business transforming the industrial economy.

Operating at the intersection of AI, climate innovation, and industrial services, they are building a platform that modernises critical processes across manufacturing, energy, mining, waste management, and infrastructure.

As part of a significant growth phase, we have been exclusively retained to appoint a Principal, M&A & Corporate Development professional to help drive an ambitious acquisition strategy.

This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded investor or dealmaker looking to move beyond traditional transaction execution and play a direct role in building a high-growth business.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will own the full acquisition lifecycle—from sourcing opportunities through to execution and integration. Acting as both investor and operator, you will help build and scale a portfolio of businesses within a rapidly growing platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead high-performing M&A deal teams
  • Source, assess, and engage acquisition targets
  • Meet business owners and management teams across the market
  • Lead commercial, operational, and financial due diligence
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute acquisitions
  • Drive post-acquisition integration and value creation
  • Deploy AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Support acquired businesses to accelerate growth

Candidate Profile

  • 5–10 years' experience in Private Equity, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or M&A
  • Strong track record of executing transactions
  • Excellent commercial judgement and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Passion for climate innovation and industrial transformation
  • AI-first mindset with enthusiasm for technology-enabled value creation

Desirable Experience

  • Buy-and-build or roll-up strategies
  • Industrial, manufacturing, or TIC sector exposure
  • STEM or technical background
