Overview

This is an opportunity for an experienced Architect to shape modern digital commerce ecosystems, lead technical strategy, and support complex transformation programmes.

The Role

As a Senior Salesforce Commerce Architect, you will:

• Design and own end-to-end architecture for digital commerce and customer experience platforms.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, cloud-native technical solutions.
• Lead technical design, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and architectural integrity.
• Work closely with developers, product teams, business analysts, and delivery leads throughout the project lifecycle.
• Present architectural decisions and technical recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Support organisations through digital transformation, modernisation, and legacy system replacement initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks while driving best practices and governance.
• Explore the use of AI and emerging technologies to enhance customer platforms and delivery processes.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or Senior Developer within agile delivery environments.
• Strong background designing complex, cloud-based commerce and customer-facing platforms.
• Experience with leading commerce technologies such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, commercetools, SAP Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, or Shopify Plus.
• Expertise in system integration, data architecture, and enterprise ecosystems including CRM, CDP, OMS, PIM, and marketing platforms.
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns, SDLC, security, and modernisation of legacy environments.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor distributed development teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Understanding of AI and Generative AI use cases within customer and commerce platforms.

Location

Hybrid working with offices in major UK locations and flexibility to work remotely, on client sites, and in-office as required.
