HRIS Specialist


Our client, a leading design and build provider in the water sector, is currently seeking an HRIS Specialist to join their HR team based in Hattersley, with hybrid working options available. This is a permanent position in a dynamic and supportive environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain HR systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with the IT team for resolution.
  • Ensure HR business processes are current and functioning optimally.
  • Analyse and interpret large data sets.
  • Produce HR reports, metrics, and dashboards to support decision-making.
  • Lead the implementation of system enhancements across multiple HR systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and HR teams to integrate new technologies and systems.
  • Manage system testing for HR and ensure functionality after ERP system updates.
  • Assess the effectiveness of HR systems and develop business cases for project proposals.
  • Provide training and support to HR staff on system usage and best practices.
  • Establish and maintain robust systems and data privacy controls, and support HR audits.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HR technologies.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HRIS Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data management.
  • Familiarity with HR compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR).
  • Experience with ERP system upgrades and implementation projects.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and ERP software (e.g., IFS, Cornerstone, Eploy, HandsHQ).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI).
