Solutions Architect - Lead
Lead Solutions Architect (SAP) - Contract - Hybrid (Barrow-in-Furness)
We're looking for an experienced Lead Solutions Architect with strong SAP solution architecture expertise to support a major digital and IT programme in a complex environment.
Contract details
- Duration: 12 months
- Working pattern: Hybrid (Barrow-in-Furness onsite 2 to 4 days per month)
- Rate: £80 PAYE or £108.19 Umbrella
- Clearance: BPSS + SC (or eligible)
- Restrictions: UK Eyes Only / ITAR applicable
What you'll be doing
- Leading the design and delivery of SAP-based solutions aligned to business and customer goals
- Owning solution architecture across the full lifecycle (requirements through delivery and support)
- Driving systems integration, technical strategy, and roadmap planning
- Producing technical proposals and presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Supporting governance, change control, risk management, and protection of systems and information
- Coordinating delivery across internal teams and suppliers to meet service, quality, and version control standards
What we're looking for
- Significant experience as a Solutions Architect / Lead Solutions Architect in enterprise environments
- Strong SAP architecture knowledge (solution design, integration, governance)
- Proven background delivering within large-scale transformation or complex IT programmes
- Confident stakeholder management and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to risk and change
