Analytics Associate – Front Office Investment Technology

A highly regarded investment firm is seeking an Analytics Associate to join a front office-facing analytics and technology function supporting a broad multi-asset investment platform.

This role will work closely with investment professionals across public and private markets to develop analytical tools, dashboards and scalable data solutions used to support investment decision-making and portfolio analysis.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical capability with an understanding of financial markets and the ability to communicate effectively with front office stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain analytical tools, dashboards and data pipelines using Python and SQL

• Partner directly with investment professionals to deliver scalable analytics and reporting solutions

• Convert manual or spreadsheet-based analysis into robust production-grade tools

• Support the design and enhancement of data visualisation and reporting capabilities

• Contribute to software development best practices including testing, version control and documentation

• Assist with data quality, governance and process improvement initiatives

• Work collaboratively with investment, data and technology stakeholders across the business

Requirements

• Strong academic background in a quantitative or technical discipline

• Advanced Python and SQL skills with experience analysing complex datasets

• Previous experience working with financial or investment-related data within a buy-side or broader financial services environment

• Experience building dashboards, reporting tools or analytical applications for investment users

• Understanding of financial products and investment processes across one or more asset classes

• Familiarity with software engineering best practices including Git, testing and structured development processes

• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Additional desirable experience includes exposure to cloud-based data technologies, modern visualisation tools, and professional investment qualifications such as the CFA or IMC.
