Development Team Lead (LAMP stack)

This pivotal role will see you take day-to-day ownership of clients in-house LAMP stack products, acting as the senior technical point of contact for their development and maintenance.

As a new project to this well established and expanding business you will also lead a small team of developers, overseeing technical design, prioritising tasks and allocating resources so the team can deliver predictably against sprint commitments.

You'll will demonstrate good development practice, including coding standards, peer review, automated testing and CI/CD, showing that you can work with DevOps colleagues to support smooth releases and deployments. You will take part in sprint planning with product teams, provide input on estimates and timelines, and act as the first point of escalation for technical issues within your products

Candidates will have proven hands-on experience with LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and experience in maintaining and developing transactional, web-based platforms.

Experience or capability of leading, mentoring or supporting a small development team.

Good understanding of CI/CD, release management and version control.

This role will be based in Hatfield, Herts. 3 days per week on-site and 2 days working remotely.

A starting salary of up to £55,000 per annum plus benefits is on offer to the right candidate.
