Meet Liam Smith: Customer Success Manager at Mintra

At Mintra, customer success is the core of everything we do. In 2023, we separated the services and formed a dedicated Customer Success Team.

The team is responsible for ensuring best practices and retention for the TrainingPortal platform, working with clients before they've joined, anticipating challenges, and streamlining onboarding. The customer service team focuses on immediate needs of safety critical workers.

As a Customer Success Manager, Liam focuses on engaging customers from the decision making stage. He proactively builds relationships and ensures a seamless journey from the outset. He has overseen the migration of 20,000 seafarers and the transfer of 500 vessels.

Key responsibilities include:

• Engaging with customers from the decision making stage
• Onboarding new customers and managing transition to Mintra
• Developing strategies and leading projects to ensure a seamless experience
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders-crew managers, training managers, IT teams-across maritime and energy sectors
• Collaborating with product, marketing, and development teams to focus on design and development improvements
• Anticipating challenges and streamlining onboarding processes
• Ensuring client retention and best practices for the TrainingPortal platform

Liam's career trajectory reflects his tenacity and commitment to growth. He joined Mintra in 2013, advanced through roles, and became Customer Service Manager before focusing on Customer Success. He is an advocate for proactive customer care.
