DevOps Engineer
Role: Senior DevOps Engineer
Contract: 12 months (Inside IR35)
Location: 100% Remote with occasional travel
Hours: 8 Hours per day
Clearance: Active SC required, used within the last 12 months
Mandatory requirement: Active SC clearance, used within the last 12 months. Candidates without this cannot be considered.
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to delivery into a public sector client. The role sits within a secure platform environment and requires strong hands-on engineering experience across AWS, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, automation, security and containerisation.
Essential Skills
- Strong experience as a Platform / DevOps Engineer, ideally 5+ years.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, Redshift and VPC.
- Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience, including designing, building and maintaining scalable, secure infrastructure.
- Strong experience with Git, GitLab and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD automation, deployment, testing and monitoring.
- Scripting and automation experience using tools such as Python, Bash, Ansible and Terraform.
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, infrastructure security and compliance best practice.
- Experience reviewing code, improving quality, supporting refactoring and maintaining enterprise-level platforms.

- Account Factory experience
- Suricata
- Ansible, Salt or Puppet
- Self-hosted GitLab CI and Artifactory administration
- AWS data services including Glue, Athena, Lake Formation and QuickSight
- Entra ID and Microsoft Active Directory
