Security Administrator

We are seeking a skilled professional to administer and manage Trellix and/or Crowdstrike solutions to implement endpoint security across our datacenters and remote offices. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in either or both technologies, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Location Requirement

This role is based in Dundee, Scotland. Candidates must be willing to relocate or commute to our Dundee office to collaborate effectively with the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Administration:

  • Administer and manage Trellix and/ Or Crowdstrike solutions.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Trellix / Crowdstrike systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities for Trellix / Crowdstrikesystems.

Security Administration:

  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure robust security measures and compliance with industry standards.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide advanced technical support for Trellix and Crowdstrike issues.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and IT support staff.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of Trellix and Crowdstrike configurations, procedures, and processes.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and maintenance activities.

Expected skills/ experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Trellix and/or Crowdstrike administration and management.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
