WMS Super User

WMS Super User – Manhattan Active

St Ives, Cambridgeshire

The Opportunity

  • We’re currently supporting a growing logistics operation that is looking for a WMS Super User with Manhattan Active experience to join their team.
  • This is a key role sitting between the warehouse operation and IT, providing hands-on support across the WMS, helping resolve issues and ensuring the system continues to support the operation effectively.
  • The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to get involved in system improvements, testing and the onboarding of new customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact for day-to-day WMS queries and issues across the warehouse operation
  • Investigate system issues and identify root causes across WMS configuration, integrations, connectivity and operational processes
  • Work closely with warehouse teams to understand system-related problems and provide practical solutions
  • Support users with WMS functionality, system queries, access and general application usage
  • Assist with system testing, upgrades, releases and validation of new functionality
  • Identify opportunities to improve WMS processes and contribute to wider continuous improvement initiatives
  • Produce and maintain system documentation, procedures and operational reports
  • Escalate more complex technical issues to the appropriate teams while maintaining ownership through to resolution
  • Support the implementation and onboarding of new customers from a systems perspective

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working with or supporting a Warehouse Management System
  • Manhattan Active WMS / MAWM experience would be highly desirable
  • Good understanding of warehouse and distribution processes
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability, with an analytical approach to identifying the cause of system issues
  • Comfortable working closely with both operational and technical teams
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain system issues and solutions to non-technical users
  • Experience with WMS configuration, testing, integrations or system improvements
  • SQL experience would be advantageous
  • Experience with other WMS platforms such as KiSoft would also be considered

The Role

  • This would suit someone who has developed beyond simply using a WMS and has become a go-to person for systems within a warehouse environment.
  • You don't necessarily need to be a developer or a highly technical WMS consultant. We're particularly interested in people who understand warehouse operations and WMS support, can troubleshoot problems effectively and are confident working between the operational and technical sides of the business.
