Senior SAP Data Migration Consultant
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Data Migration Consultant to lead and execute end-to-end data migration initiatives across complex SAP implementations. The ideal candidate brings deep SAP expertise, strong data governance knowledge, hands-on ETL skills, and a proven ability to collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality data outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, design, and execution of SAP data migration activities across full project lifecycles (Blueprint → Build → Test → Cutover).
- Develop data migration strategy, approach, standards, templates, and quality checkpoints.
- Work closely with functional teams to define data objects, business rules, mapping logic, and validation requirements.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and enrichment activities using SAP and non-SAP tools.
- Create and maintain migration mappings, load programs, LSMWs, BAPIs, BDCs, and SAP Migration Cockpit objects.
- Manage mock loads, reconcile datasets, analyse defects, and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to validate data and resolve discrepancies.
- Support cutover activities, including load execution, issue resolution, and post-migration stabilisation.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and best practices to junior migration consultants.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in SAP data migration with at least 2–3 full-cycle SAP implementations.
- Strong understanding of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA data structures.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Migration Cockpit, BODS, LSMW, BAPIs, BDCs, or similar ETL tools.
- Deep knowledge of data management, cleansing, governance, and validation techniques.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
