Data Engineer

The Company NW Tech are pleased to be working with a North East based E-commerce business in their search for a Data Engineer The Role Reporting into the Head of IT, the role will play a key part in shaping the company's data capability. Working alongside key stakeholders, you help develop a modern data platform that connects systems, improves data quality and enables smarter decision making across the business. Main responsibilities include: 

• Maintain and manage the central data warehouse (likely to be Fabric) 
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines 
• Act as 2nd line support for data related issues 
• Support the setup and maintenance of integrations across sales channels and core systems 
• Ensure reliable data sources for reporting and Power BI dashboards

The Requirements This is an exciting opportunity to shape how data is used within the organisation, as they strengthen their analytics and reporting foundations. You will gain experience across data warehousing, e-commerce integrations and business intelligence with support to develop your skills and progress in the role. Main requirements include: 

• Experience with data modelling and visualisation tools (preferably Power BI) 
• Confident working with non-technical stakeholders 
• Understanding of data warehouse principles 
• Awareness of ERP or e-commerce systems
