Technical Business Analyst
About the Role
Pertemps is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our growing technology team in Meriden. This role sits at the heart of our Recruitment CRM / ATS , a platform built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform that supports recruitment operations across the business.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders, developers, and testers to analyse business needs and translate them into clear, structured user stories within Azure DevOps. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role that combines strong analytical capability with working knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack , ensuring platform enhancements are well-defined and technically sound.
This is a fully office-based role in Meriden , ideal for someone who values close collaboration, rapid feedback, and being part of a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to understand and document business processes, needs, and challenges.
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows in Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure stories are clear, testable, and aligned with technical design.
- Provide insight into Dynamics 365 Sales and Power Platform capabilities to inform solution design.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Support UAT planning and coordination , ensuring solutions meet agreed outcomes.
- Maintain and evolve business process documentation, diagrams, and configuration notes.
- Identify opportunities for automation or efficiency through Power Automate, Dataverse , or other integrations.
- Work with cross-functional teams including compliance, support, and development to ensure alignment.
- Communicate system changes and assist in training or knowledge transfer where required.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst within a software delivery environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate) .
- Experience with Agile delivery and use of Azure DevOps for story authoring and sprint management.
- Ability to discuss data models, system configuration, and integration concepts confidently.
- Strong documentation and analytical skills – able to translate business needs into technical stories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
Desirable:
- Experience in or exposure to the recruitment or staffing industry .
- Understanding of SQL, data models, or API integrations .
- Experience supporting testing or UAT .
- Awareness of Power BI and basic reporting structures.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines or CI/CD principles.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-900, MB-910, MB-920) are advantageous.
