Final Test Engineer - Late

Location: Cambourne (CB23) Duration: Ongoing Hours: 7:15am to 4pm (Monday to Friday) initially before transferring to late shift, 1:45pm - 9:30pm Salary: £20.39 per hour Job Reference: 36370 Polytec are looking for a Final Test Engineer for our client based a few miles west of Cambridge. You will test products in accordance with established procedures ensuring that agreed deadlines and manufacturing targets are met. You will train for the first 3 months on a dayshift working 7:15am to 4pm and then transfer to the late shift working 1:45pm - 9:30pm. Responsibilities: * Assembly, sub-assembly and testing * Trouble-shoot malfunctions, carrying out basic modifications as required * Maintenance of test equipment * Participate in Lean activities as required * Contribute to driving continuous improvement, identifying waste in test processes * Maintain processes and procedures consistent with ISO standards. Requirements: * Experience of fault-finding on electronic or electromechanical systems * Proven ability to utilise user interface software to test, calibrate and operate complex electromechanical systems * Experience of assembling and / or testing precision instrumentation * Working in an electromechanical test environment * Understand and follow test specifications and standard operating procedures * GCSE Mathematics and English * Qualification in Electronics / Mechatronics (Time served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, Btec Level 3 or 4-year apprenticeship) * Experience using MS Windows Please contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below!
