AI Solutions Engineer - Azure AI/Copilot Studio/Python

£80,000-£105,000 depending on experience

An international law firm is seeking a hands-on AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, deploy and support secure, scalable AI solutions across its legal and business services teams.

Working directly with lawyers, knowledge professionals and business stakeholders, you will translate practical requirements into reliable technical solutions. Potential applications include document analysis, summarisation, legal research, knowledge management and the automation of business processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing and supporting production AI solutions.

• Integrating agentic AI into business workflows and existing systems.

• Developing prompts, grounding strategies and knowledge integrations.

• Building reusable components and maintaining clear technical documentation.

• Evaluating third-party AI tools and contributing to build-versus-buy decisions.

• Supporting user testing and improving solutions through feedback.

• Incorporating security, confidentiality, access controls and auditability into solution design.

You will need:

• Practical experience building and deploying AI or machine learning solutions into production.

• Strong Microsoft technology experience, particularly Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and Azure DevOps.

• Software development skills, ideally Python; JavaScript or additional languages would be advantageous.

• A sound understanding of LLMs, NLP, machine learning fundamentals and prompt engineering.

• Experience integrating AI with knowledge sources, business systems or operational workflows.

• An understanding of data protection and AI regulatory requirements, including GDPR and the EU AI Act.

• Strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach to delivering dependable solutions.

Legal or professional services experience would be beneficial, but engineers from other complex environments involving sensitive information are encouraged to apply.

This role suits an engineer with direct responsibility for building and delivering working AI solutions.
