R&D Project Manager
R&D Project Manager | Colchester Area | Up to £60,000 | Electronics
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced R&D Project Manager to join an established and innovative engineering business in the Colchester area.
This role will involve managing a range of technical projects from concept through to completion, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams across the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering and New Product Development (NPD) projects from initial concept through to delivery
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, mechanical design and manufacturing
- Identify and manage project risks, priorities and deadlines
- Communicate project progress and key milestones to senior stakeholders
- Lead and support a small project coordination team
- Drive improvements in project management processes and reporting
About You
- Proven Project Management experience within engineering, R&D or product development
- Experience delivering New Product Development (NPD) projects
- Strong planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Previous team leadership or line management experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Relevant engineering or project management qualifications would be advantageous
- Experience with Smartsheet or Teamwork would be beneficial
