Technical Project Manager
Job Title : Project Manager (Police / Law Enforcement)
Location : Steeton, West Yorkshire - Hybrid (between home, office, customer locations)
Salary : Up to £60,000

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead projects that support the unique requirements of our UK Police clients. This role demands a highly organized individual with a strong understanding of working with Public Sector clients, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex, high-stakes projects.

About the role
The Project Manager works closely with the engineering team to effectively allocate resources and ensure projects meet agreed timescales; working with the sales team and customers to assist with the definition, scope and structure of potential projects; ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and exceed customer's expectations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Full management of the project lifecycle for small to large, internal and customer projects. Ensuring that projects are scoped, planned, managed and delivered effectively within agreed time and commercial budgets.
- Delivery of timeframe to customer expectations.
- Creation of project plans with clear requirements of project capacity planning.
- Identification and Management of Risks, Issues & Actions and Change Management
- Regular progress reporting internally and to the customer.
- Project milestone & completion billing.
- Ensure effective and appropriate communication between customers and members of the Bedroq team.
- Presenting and leading customer meetings, taking minutes and tracking progress of meeting actions.
- Effectively manage resources allocated to projects, working with other team leaders as required.
- Take ownership for driving project actions forward within the team and individuals
- Produce reporting for the project team, for the business, for the board of directors and for customers.
Required skills
- Comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders, leaders and executives whilst navigating conflicting demands.
- Experience managing complex IT transformation projects for customers.
- Ability to translate technical requirements and discussion into project deliverables, customer outcomes and accurately identify areas of risk.
- Proven track record of ensuring new customer projects are implemented on time, in budget and to scope.
- A minimum of 5 years working within or alongside UK Police.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service, ideally with prior experience in a customer facing managed service role.
- Ability to work well to deadlines and under pressure
- Ability to think logically with good problem-solving skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and find clear solutions.
- An enthusiastic, driven, committed and flexible approach to work.
- Intermediate level user in Microsoft packages especially in Word, Power Point and Excel.
Additional requirements
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance and Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV3).
- Full UK driving license.
- Professional qualification relating to project management (Prince 2 / Agile / Association for Project Management, Project Management Institute, CompTIA Project Plus, Certified Project Manager IAPM) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Desirable qualifications – IOSHH Managing Safely, CCNSG, Membership to a professional body.
