iLockerz is a leading UK provider of intelligent locker systems, offering innovative storage and asset management solutions to organisations across sectors including emergency services, education, retail, logistics and beyond.We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Apprentice to join our growing technical team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in IT and data, with hands-on experience in both software and hardware environments.

Overview:

As an apprentice, you will gain practical experience in IT support, data handling, and software testing. You’ll assist in configuring smart locker systems, supporting internal users, and helping to ensure our software is reliable and well-documented. You’ll also learn how to work with data using tools like Microsoft SQL Server.This apprenticeship will provide structured training and mentoring to help you develop your skills and work towards a recognised Level 3 qualification.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up smart locker systems, including PCs, touchscreens, and network devices.
  • Help install and configure iLockerz software under supervision.
  • Provide basic technical support to internal users and customers.
  • Maintain asset records and assist with remote support tasks.
  • Learn to carry out manual testing of software and document findings.
  • Support the execution of test plans and help identify bugs.
  • Assist in running SQL queries to validate data and support testing.
  • Help with regression testing after software updates.

Required skills:

  • A keen interest in IT, data, and technology.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and follow technical instructions.
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.

In addition, the following experience would be beneficial:

  • Familiarity with SQL or databases.
  • Interest in smart technologies, IoT, or RFID systems.
  • Experience with issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira).

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
