IT Support Level 1 and Level 2 – Swindon
Opportunity:
Are you currently working in IT support? Does your experience include dealing directly with technical End User support, resolving hardware, software and network issues? If yes then please read on.
Your role as a IT Support Level 1 and Level 2 based in Swindon will involve providing level 1 and level 2 IT support for the business.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- General network, telecoms and server support.
- Analysing system requirements and business processes to assist in the design and implementation of IT solutions.
- Participating in the testing and deployment of new systems, ensuring they meet the organization's needs.
- Providing first-level technical support to end-users facing issues with hardware, software, or network services.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining IT equipment and software to ensure operational efficiency.
- Interacting with clients to process basic service requests or resolve basic technical problems.
- Replacing and rebuilding hardware components.
- IT Procurement in accordance with corporate guidelines.
This is a 12 months contract which will be reviewed for a possible extension or go permanent however this is all dependent on the candidate and the business performance.The PAYE rate is between £15.38 - £17.43 per hour.
This is a site based role working Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Skills:
To apply for the IT Support Level 1 and Level 2 role you will have the following skills:
- Associates degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification is desirable.
- Must have excellent understanding of personal computers, peripherals and associated accessories.
- Solid understanding of personal computing applications (Office, email, etc.).
- Excellent working knowledge of networks and server infrastructure.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
