DevOps Manager

DevOps Lead / Architect — Contract — London — Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Inside IR35 | 6 months | FS sector

We are looking for a DevOps Lead/Architect to drive observability, automation, and GitOps best practices within a global financial services environment.

What you'll be doing

• Architect and scale observability platforms using Datadog + Geneos
• Lead infrastructure automation using Terraform / IaC
• Own CI/CD and GitOps using GitLab
• Work with cross-functional engineering teams to build resilient and performant systems
• Lead incident response and drive post-mortems and continuous improvement
• Mentor engineers and promote DevOps / SRE best practices

What you’ll bring

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, VPC, EKS/ECS, IAM)
• Deep experience with Terraform and IaC
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines ( GitLab or Jenkins )
• Strong Datadog experience (metrics, traces, dashboards)
• Experience with Geneos (monitoring + alerting)
• Solid scripting ( Python / Bash ) and Linux knowledge
• Docker / Kubernetes experience

Nice to have

• AWS Certifications
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments
