Java Developer

Job title: Java Developer – Regulatory Reporting (Capital Markets)

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)

Duration: Contract until Feb 2027

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of Java Development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17 & Spring Boot
• Experience building Microservices & REST APIs
• AWS / Cloud-native development experience
• CI/CD exposure – Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Git
• Agile/Scrum environment experience
• Strong communication & stakeholder management skills
• Capital Markets / Financial Services domain experience

Nice to have

• Regulatory Reporting knowledge – MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR
• Transaction Reporting / Trade Transparency experience
• Test Automation exposure (Playwright, TypeScript, BDD)
• Experience with MarkLogic or similar document databases

Project scope

• Greenfield Regulatory Reporting platform build
• Cloud-native architecture replacing legacy systems
• Focus on MiFID II transaction reporting, instrument & venue data flows
