You'll be a recognised expert in RF design, bringing deep technical knowledge and a hands-on approach to developing sophisticated radio frequency solutions. Working at the forefront of signal detection, electronic attack, and RF system performance, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering technology that operates in demanding and mission-critical environments.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading the design and development of advanced RF systems from concept through to delivery.
  • Applying your expertise in radio signal detection, analysis, and jamming technologies.
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring to a team of two electronic hardware engineers.
  • Driving system architecture decisions and ensuring technical excellence across RF and electronic hardware development.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Acting as a technical authority within the business and contributing to future technology roadmaps.
  • Engaging directly with customers and stakeholders where required, helping to shape solutions and build trusted relationships.
What We're Looking For
  • Extensive, hands-on experience in RF system design gained over a significant engineering career.
  • Expert-level understanding of RF technologies, architectures, and system integration.
  • Strong knowledge of radio signal detection, electronic warfare, jamming, or related RF applications.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams while remaining technically hands-on.
  • Confidence making critical technical decisions and influencing programme direction.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
Desirable Experience

  • Previous customer-facing or stakeholder engagement experience.

This role offers a rare combination of deep technical ownership, leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to work on genuinely challenging RF problems. You'll have the autonomy to influence technical direction, develop talented engineers, and work alongside experts who are passionate about innovation and engineering excellence.

We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.
