Project Manager (Oil & Gas)

My well established Consultancy Client is urgently recruiting for an exceptional Senior Project Manager with a strong Oil & Gas background to lead high-profile, front-office initiatives within their growing Client. This role requires a dynamic and proactive professional who can drive complex projects from initiation to completion while maintaining strong alignment with business objectives.

You will be responsible for overseeing full project lifecycles, ensuring deliverables are met on time, within scope, and within budget. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Project is essential, along with the ability to navigate and influence in a fast-paced stakeholder environment.

• Lead and manage complex front-office projects within the Oil & Gas sector.

• Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed project plans using Microsoft Project.

• Engage, influence, and manage relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple business units.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring effective contingency planning.

• Deliver clear, concise, and compelling communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Prepare high-quality written documentation including project charters, status reports, and risk registers.

• Oversee project governance, ensuring adherence to organisational standards and industry best practice.

• Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure project objectives are consistently met.

• Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager within the Oil & Gas industry.

• Significant exposure to front-office or customer-facing projects.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project (planning, scheduling, dependencies, resource management).

• Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at all levels.

• Strong focus on risk management, issue resolution, and structured project governance.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

• Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable.
