Senior IC Design Engineer
Our client, a global semiconductor technology business, are looking for a Senior IC Design Engineer to join their team in Southampton.
Key responsibilities of the Senior IC Design Engineer job in Southampton:
- Define and optimise capacitive sensing architectures and acquisition strategies
- Develop and verify RTL designs using Verilog and/or SystemVerilog
- Develop embedded software for sensing and signal-processing applications
- Lead silicon bring-up, debugging and validation activities
- Solve complex technical challenges across analogue, digital and firmware domains
- Contribute to architecture decisions and system-level design
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to develop innovative HMI solutions
Experience required for the Senior IC Design Engineer job in Southampton:
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Physics or a related discipline
- Experience in digital or mixed-signal IC design and development
- Strong RTL design experience using Verilog and/or SystemVerilog
- Embedded software development experience in C/C++
- Good understanding of microcontroller architectures and embedded systems
- Experience using Python, MATLAB or similar tools for modelling and data analysis
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with ARM, PIC or similar MCU platforms desirable
- Knowledge of capacitive touch sensing technologies desirable
- Exposure to automotive standards such as ISO 26262 or Automotive SPICE advantageous
- Familiarity with OLED or micro-LED display technologies beneficial
