Job Type: Full-time, temp to perm
Location: South West England
Salary: £160.57 per day (inside IR35) via umbrella company, with potential to move to a permanent salary of £32,000

We are recruiting for a BI Analyst to join the head office team of a leading UK retailer. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded BI Analyst to develop reporting, dashboards and data-led insights that support decision-making across the business. The successful BI Analyst will work with a variety of data sources, identify trends and present findings clearly to key stakeholders.

Day-to-day of the role

• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in line with business requirements and best practice.
• Analyse existing data sets to ensure reporting is built from the most accurate and appropriate sources.
• Create clear, visually engaging and user-friendly reports that provide meaningful business insight.
• Review and improve existing reports to keep them relevant, accurate and effective.
• Produce ad hoc reporting and analysis to support business priorities and operational decisions.
• Present findings, trends and recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
• Work closely with colleagues to understand reporting needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Deliver report walkthroughs and user training when new reports or improvements are introduced.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good understanding of business principles and how data supports decision-making.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain insights clearly.
• Analytical mindset with good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent prioritisation, organisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines and maintain high-quality output.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards or business analysis is desirable.
• Experience with Power BI or previous experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting or Data Analysis would be advantageous.
